Recently I find myself thinking; What is the difference between porn and artistic nude? Where does the line of separation fall, or is it too blurred to tell?
At risk of being trolled I shall give my thoughts to the web...
For me nudity can be considered art and is not at all porn IF presented properly! A picture of a person wither her legs wide open, with the camera zoomed so far in that it might as well be pressed between their legs; THAT is CLEARLY porn! However on the flip side a person might strike a pose, yet appear naked, this could very well be considered art. (See André-J:
andre-j.deviantart.com/ for a good example of this)
Now as always with such subjects there is a definite grey area, it is still possibly to create art while posing nude (even if the person's legs are wide open), however it has to be done in a way that looks art like; e.g. siting astride a horse or that gym equipment whose name I forget, another way in which a picture with nudity, and wide open legs could be considered art yet again falls to posing.
So perhaps this is the answer to the question then? The difference between the core difference between Artistic Nude and Pornography is all in the presentation of the model, or models, within the piece in question; Once you realise this it is merely down to your own perceptions of what is and is not acceptable. (That is still not an excuse to go trolling people!)
Following the end of that paragraph I could go off on a tangent and begin ranting about how I'd like to bash sense in to people who leave comments such as; I hate this bla bla bla... On that I only have this to say: YOU know what you do and don't like, YOU have eyes, if YOU don't like what YOU see, DON'T click on it, DON'T click comment, and DON'T ram YOUR opinion down the artist's/writer's/whatever's throat!
Peace~
Edit #1: Actually there are parameters in which inclusion of the lower sexual organ in a picture can be considered art, but that mainly fails outside of the whole photography area and without outside input from other people, I can't say much on it for the above subject matter.
Edit #2: A quote from a good friend: 'I really don't have the first clue about what's art and what's not, but I pretty much have the same opinion as you. Porn is clearly when the drawing/picture is supposed to look 'sexy' - and thus modelled as such. Artistic nudity is when the arousal of the viewers isn't the point'
